Well most of the indie film makers around the world are dying to get that “FILM look” for their stories. The folks at Redrock micro have made a name for themselves by creating this adaptor that hooks on to your DV / HDV camera and allows you to fix Nikon Lenses for shooting moving images with Depth of field.

Cool, and we know this information since Ice age but what is the NIKON D90 doing here? Well Nikon’s new camera D-SLR has this cool function to shoot 24p HD res movies but at a highly compressed rate, nevertheless gives you stunning results that will make you throw that silly camcorder into the trash can.

Happy Independence Day and also a special day for us.Our first documentary ” Adopt a temple” or “Jeernodhara Abhiyana” for the Govt of karnataka is complete, and I would like thank everyone for making this happen. Special Thanks to Swarup, DOP Viswanath, Saroja , my cousin for the beautiful Kannada Script, Amrutha for the Voice over, Avinash for the crisp edit. Pradeep, Babu, Giri for handling the equipment and last but not the least Prashanth for co Directing it with me. I will post the 7 minutes Documentary very soon. Good news is that the Muzrai Department has liked the film and will be taking it along with the chief Minister for the AKKA Samavesha. More updates coming soon. Will Definitely post the film.

It was exactly 5 years ago that I visited the famous and beautiful Magadi Thirumala Temple and remarked to my sister and Cousin that I would love to shoot here one day. That day has come and we( myself and my cousin Prashanth) have bagged a prestigious project for the Govt of Karnataka. The project is called ” Adopt a Temple“.
Well, we are shooting this Thursday with a full unit and today we had a Location check or “recce” as my production head proudly repeats all the time. The following pictures tell everything.

For all you weekend travel lovers, visit this place and you will not be disappointed. It’s 50 km drive from Bangalore and the roads are pretty decent. After the temple visit you can wander around into the countryside and breathe some fresh air and for the adventurous, there are many hillocks to conquer and snap away photos till your memory card chokes.
